As you know, the Water Board is in the process of redefining our mission given the sale of water service to Cal Water. The recent survey outreach as well as special board meetings have all been intended to craft the new direction of the Water District. This process happens to have coincided with LAFCo's review of our special district (LAFCo is a County-run advisory body for special districts such as ours).
The new draft is a submission the Board is making to LAFCo which outlines the mission of the Water District as well as the core services that we intend to provide to the community moving forward. It also contains detailed responses to LAFCo's March review of the Water District. As you can see, the submission very much echoes the results of the survey. We purposefully left the specifics high-level in nature as more detail needs to be fleshed out in the coming months before moving to action.
The board, cc:ed, certainly welcomes any additional feedback and input. The LAFCo follow-up review will be Wednsday, May 17th at 2:30 PM - the public is welcome (and encouraged) to attend.
