Evacuation

Los Trancos and Alpine Roads are the primary evacuation routes, shown as red dots and arrows on the Emergency Preparedness Map. If both of these roads are impassable and an evacuation is necessary we have been given permission by Dr. Fogerty to use his trail which is off Alpine Road and leads up to Skyline Blvd. see Back-up Emergency Evacuation Map. Warning, this exit contains a locked gate.

Should you be unable to use the primary or back-up mentioned routes you may be instructed by Command Center (EOC), via your Group Leader, to evacuate to our Safe Haven and Back-up Command Center (EOC) on Pony Tracks Ranch kindly provided by Jacques Littlefield, see Back-up Command Center (EOC) and Safe Haven. The Vista Verde and Los Trancos Woods Safe Haven includes the area between the pond and the parking area and the area around the large "U" shaped tank museum. There is a large water supply, modest electrical generator and toilet facilities. In addition, there is a 40 ft. steel emergency container located behind the tank museum. The container is furnished with blankets, cots, water, and other emergency supplies. Vista Verde and Los Trancos Woods have supplemented the container with some additional items including radios and a few medical supplies. Food and bedding are your responsibility. Access from Pony Tracks Ranch to Page Mill Road is possible for emergency vehicles only. This is not an escape route for the public. This is private property and trespassing is forbidden. Note that only the Sheriff’s office can ORDER an evacuation
